Doing Business in Rwanda
Doing business in a foreign country is more than just knowing what officials to contact or what forms to complete. It is also a matter of understanding the political, cultural, and social environment of the country and/or region in which a company desires to do business.
The Foreign Policy Research Institute’s (FPRI) series on ‘Doing Business in Africa’ explores different countries on the African continent, with in-depth discussions on these issues to acquaint American businesses with the nuances of commercial endeavors in a region of the world that is little understood on this side of the Atlantic (i.e., the USA).
Joining FPRI Africa Program chair Charles Ray to discuss Doing Business in Rwanda, the fourth in the series, which only recently took place in June 2024, were Professor Carla Jones, a 2022 Templeton Fellow in the Africa Program and an Associate Professor in Management, Marketing and Information Sciences in the College of Business at Sam Houston State University, and Professor Nnamdi O. Madichie, Professor of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the University of Kigali, Rwanda.
