The Beautiful Game is getting Prettier

I know I have been talking about the beautiful game in all its ugliness from racism, through corruption, managerial sacks, to government interference in the game, but recently something worth celebrating has come up…

The Champions League fixture this week is much ado about something. It’s historical for two reasons, for me at least.

First, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 750th professional goal during Juventus' 3-0 win over Dynamo Kiev .

Second, and more significantly, France’s Stephanie Frappart became the first woman to referee a men’s Champions League game.

Let’s make football prettier by celebrating equality, diversity, and inclusion.
